Parapluie: A Fable
Synopsis
In the rain-soaked streets of Belle Époque Paris, an enchanted umbrella passes through seven interconnected lives, weaving a tapestry of hope, loss, and unexpected grace.
As this mysterious parapluie travels from the hands of a desperate artist to a lonely widow, from a street performer to a grieving father, it becomes more than shelter from the storm—it becomes a keeper of secrets, a catalyst for transformation, and a reminder that magic exists in the most ordinary of objects.
The Seven Stories
Each chapter follows a different character whose life is touched by the umbrella:
- An impoverished painter seeking inspiration
- A widow mourning her lost love
- A street musician hiding from his past
- A father grappling with grief
- A young seamstress dreaming of escape
- An aging shopkeeper protecting secrets
- A child discovering wonder in the everyday
Themes
Set against the atmospheric backdrop of turn-of-the-century Paris, Parapluie explores universal themes of connection, redemption, and the extraordinary magic hidden in ordinary moments. The umbrella itself becomes a character—silent witness, guardian, and gentle catalyst for change.
